Follow an expert English-speaking guide through Vienna’s Art Nouveau landmarks, from Otto Wagner’s Karlsplatz pavilion to Secession and the Emperor’s metro station. Small groups of up to eight make it easy to ask questions, compare details, and learn how Jugendstil shaped modern Vienna.

“Suzanne was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Viennese architecture. We learned a lot from her, and it has formed the core of my understanding of Vienna circa 1900, the Secession, and how those themes live on to this day. We met at the Museum Cafe and walked to the Secession Building, where she talked about Otto Wagner and the city under construction. Lots of specifics, too many to mention. She tailored the tour to our needs as we were the only clients. We took the U4 train line to save on walking and warm up between discussions. We had a day pass so it worked well.”

Spend 2 hours and 15 minutes inside Vienna’s Leopold Museum with an art historian such as Julia, focusing on Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka, and the Secession movement. Admission is included, and the private format lets you set the pace and ask detailed questions in English.

“It is difficult to imagine, that the Leopold Museum's collection of paintings, furniture and handicrafts comprises solely of one man's private collection. Our guide Julie, an art historian, was very knowledgeable of the artwork exhibited, mainly of Viennese painters Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka, etc., from the first half of the 20th century. Her explanation of the intrinsic meaning and hidden intricacies of the masterpiece paintings, as well as of the Succession Movement which took place at that time, was fascinating. I would encourage any art lover to take a private tour of the Leopold Museum and enjoy Julie's passionate explanation as we did.”
